Green Connect is an award-winning, not-for-profit social enterprise that employs young people and former refugees to do work that makes the planet and our community better. We manage a farm in Wollongong NSW where we grow fair food, we help businesses to reduce their waste to landfill, we run an op shop, and we offer labour hire to connect our staff to other businesses, industries and opportunities. We also provide training and support to enable each person to use that employment experience as a springboard to suitable, long-term, fulfilling jobs and careers. 

For the last five years, we have funded 80% of our needs through income from trade (selling products and services). 20% is funded through grants and philanthropy, including donations from the general public. Every dollar goes toward supporting our staff (many of whom have never seen what it means to have and keep a job in Australia, and need one-on-one support throughout their journey to longlasting employment) or to growing our business so that we can do more good.
