ICEA (Indigenous Communities Education and Awareness) Foundation is a youth run, incorporated for purpose organisation, which endeavours to encourage young Australians to take an active and ongoing role in promoting Reconciliation by creating opportunities for passionate young Indigenous and non-Indigenous people from local schools and community groups to have their voice heard.
ICEA aims to inspire reconciliation and promote mutual respect and cultural awareness in local schools and in the wider community.
ICEA believes that through increased respect and understanding for diverse cultures, national reconciliation can be achieved. Our efforts reach out to remote Indigenous communities in North Western Australia and to high schools in the Perth metropolitan area.
ICEA's three programs work together to educate Indigenous students and their non-Indigenous peers to provide them with the skills and experience to become leaders and positive role models within their communities. ICEA believes that we can work towards reconciliation by creating positive experiences, building relationships and promoting understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
