Funds are being collected to save the lives of pets whose owners cannot afford their emergency treatment.
Funds are used to pay for life-saving veterinary care for pensioner's pets; Funds are only paid to treating veterinary practices - never to individuals;
Funds bridge the gap between discounted veterinary costs and the owner's contribution;
Cases meet an inclusion criteria (eg. a pensioner who have exhausted all other avenues of funding veterinary care and whose pets are in danger of being unnecessarily euthanised);
Vets are asked to discount veterinary costs to being 'not for profit';
Pensioners / disadvantaged owners contribute as much as they can;
Pet Medical Crisis Fund aims to bridge the gap between the vet's costs and owner's contribution, to a maximum of $1,000;
Donations for specific pets' needs can be made by mentioning the pet's name in the 'message' and 100% will go directly to that case until the fees are paid - after which any residual remains in the PMCF to assist future cases in the general appeal.
